Getting Started
OK. You might be asking...is this CrossFit stuff really for me...the answer is...we don't know.
The only way to find out is to do it and to do it for a good week. Let's face it, you have to really give something a solid chance to understand what it is, how it could benefit you and if it's worth what it costs.
We know that our memberships dues aren't cheap compared to all those other kind of gyms that promote those $19/month memberships. Needless to say, you get what you pay for...I repeat...YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR...At CFI you will be professionaly coached and have fun everytime you come. (Did you know if you do 5 workouts a week at CFI, each workout only costs you a little more than $6).
With that said, at CFI we want you to TRY OUR GYM FOR FREE...FOR 7 DAYS before deciding if you want to pay for it with your hard earned money.
We want you to feel the difference in the way we coach, the intensity and scalability of CrossFit workouts, and the
commraderie of the other athletes in your classes.
So if you're in...heres what you do.
1. Fill out the form below to schedule your Free Intro Class with one of our coaches. Expect a 60 minute session where we will go over your goals and background, a quick chalk talk on what CrossFit is and why it works so gosh darn good. Next you will go through a thorough warm-up, fundamental movements skill session, then a Introductory CrossFit WOD (Workout Of the Day).
1.5. What if you've done CrossFit before at another gym?
Fill out below form any way because we still want to chat, go over your goals and assess your CrossFit abilities. If we think you have a firm grasp on the movements you can skip our On-Ramp Program and jump right into Group WOD classes...BUT you will still need to go through our Member Intake Assessment/Athlete Restoration session.
2. Start coming to any of our classes over a 7 day period for free. Your name will be on our Newbie board so all of our coaches will know you're going though your trial week. You will be doing either scaled versions of our WOD's or one of our 12 On-Ramp WODs to reduce the risk of injury and over training. Have fun, listen and be ready to be coached.
3. Sign up for our 2 week On-Ramp Program. The purpose is to get you up to speed on the fundamental CrossFit movements and lingo as well as us having the time to get to know you better. For more details check out our On-Ramp tab.
4. Now you're ready to start Limited or Unlimited Group WOD membership or in some cases one on one Coaching/Athlete Restoration sessions are needed first. If we feel that after you're On-ramp you
have the tools to be safe and succesful in our Group Classes you will graduate to a be a member of our WOD squad. However if you have some limitiations you will be suggest to go through a combination of One on One coaching, more On-Ramp WODs and Athlete Restoration sessions until we feel confident you are ready for the range of motion, exercise technique proficiency and intensity necessary to be and feel succesful in our Group classes.
4.5. Join in on our Running Club workouts lead by Drew Clevenger to get in some extra cardio/endurance work.
